We are pleased to announce the opening of our offices in Medellin and Barranquilla, which will be led respectively by our partners Ana Lucia Barrientos and Felipe Aroca.
Ana Lucia Barrientos, who graduated from the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana of Medellin and has LL.M.s from Harvard University and the National University of Singapore, joins our firm as partner. Ana Lucia has built a prestigious and successful practice in the city of Medellin for more than 20 years, representing regional as well as other domestic and foreign clients, with a focus on tax and mergers and acquisitions. Ana Lucia joins the firm with a team of four local lawyers, a key to the success of her practice in Medellin.
Felipe Aroca, who graduated and has a Masters in Taxation Law from Universidad Externado de Colombia, has been promoted to partner. Felipe has extensive experience in taxation matters, foreign investment and foreign trade, advising domestic and international clients in tax planning in connection with corporate restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and the structuring of free trade zones.
