Gabriel Sánchez is a partner at Posse Herrera Ruiz, his practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions and has extensive experience in corporate matters.
Before joining Posse Herrera Ruiz in 2008, Gabriel was a lawyer in the legal department of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce. Gabriel was an international intern at the New York office of Debevoise and Plimpton LLP between 2012 and 2013, in the financial and mergers and acquisitions law departments, where he was involved in various project finance transactions, representing investors and insurers in Infrastructure projects in Latin America and in mergers and acquisitions in Colombia.
He has participated in numerous successful transactions, both local and cross-border, representing buyers and sellers. He has advised clients on corporate matters such as corporate governance, boards of directors, conflicts of interest, contracts, disputes between partners and shareholder agreements, among others.
He is a lawyer from the Universidad Javeriana (2004), has a specialization in Economics from the Universidad de los Andes (2007) and a specialization in corporate law from the Universidad Javeriana (2009). Gabriel has been a professor of the specialization of corporate law at the Universidad Javeriana.
